Who is responsible

TickerBench is operated by [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME] (Business No. [REGISTRATION NUMBER]). Questions about privacy go to info@chartcompass.org. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

  • Emails you send us. If you write to us or ask to join the monthly email, we keep your address and message to reply and, if you asked, to send the email.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested. These logs are used for security and troubleshooting.
  • Your cookie choice. Your browser stores one entry, consent_state, so the site remembers what you chose in the cookie banner. It stays on your device.

We don't run analytics or advertising trackers on the site today. If we add them, they will only run after you agree in the cookie banner, and this policy will be updated first.

What we don't do

We don't sell personal information, and we don't pass your name or email address to the vendors we review. Affiliate links tell a vendor that a visitor came from TickerBench; once you are on the vendor's site, its own privacy policy applies.

How long we keep it

Emails are kept for up to two years after our last exchange, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Subscribers stay on the monthly list until they unsubscribe. Server logs are kept by our host for a limited period for security purposes.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Email info@chartcompass.org and we'll respond within 30 days. If you aren't satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to our email inbox is limited to the editorial team. No method of storage or transfer is completely secure, but we keep the information we hold to a minimum.
